3D Artifacts and Curriculum
The team at Educating with Evidence has been traveling across southern Illinois and—with our current project in Peru—the world to 3D scan artifacts to create curriculum that engages the learning in a series of archaeological investigations. Lessons vary in their inclusion of critical geography, historical archaeology, primary sources, and objects educators can 3D print. Whether it’s exploring southern Illinois’ hidden connections to the Underground Railroad or documenting the mysterious Gallinazo culture from Peru’s northern coast, there are so many ways learners can virtually dig into the past.
